Scrap4more.co.uk is a free service to every one who do not want the struggle and hassle by finding the scrapyard or car dealer who want to pay the most for your car. We have been doing so since 2017 and are anually helping more that 20.000 car owners finding the best offer for their car. 

We cover the entire Great Britain, and you have the offer within less than 24h. 

2. How does it work?

As soon you have filed out the form on our website, we will send an email inviting all possible interested scrap dealers and car brokers to place their bid. Normally after a few hours we will have 3 to 5 offers, and we will send the best pffer for you to review. 

If you like the offer, you can easily accept it, and we will establish contact between you and the buyer. You will now agree pick-up/delivery time and place and payment details. The deal is done!

3. Is it free to use scrap4more.co.uk?

Yes, it is free! It's free to use our service, and you are not obliged to make use of the offers we have send you. 

4. How do I get paid ?

The buyer, car breaker or car dealer, is obliged to pay the agreed amount. The payment method (wire transfer, cheque etc.) will be agreed between seller and buyer. 

Likewise, the preparation of the purchase agreement takes place directly between buyer and seller. 

If you wish to reclaim your unused road tax, you will need to tell DVLA that you no longer own the scraped vehicle. You will be able to see more here: https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-tax-refund

NOTE: Under the Scrap Metal Dealers Act, introduced October 2013 to combat metal theft, particularly copper from railway lines, it is illegal for anyone to pay cash for scrap cars. Most will issue a cheque or make a payment directly into your bank account

5. Are there any hidden costs or fees?

No, there are no hidden fees. The price we send you is the price you get paid!

There are no extra costs for deregistering the car, re-registering, pick-up etc. If the condition of the car differs significantly from what the seller has stated, the buyer (car dealer or car breaker) can choose to cancel the deal or offer a new price based on the actual condition.

By significant deviations are meant damages and defects that are not stated by the seller, debts in the car that are not stated, incorrect mileage figures etc.

 

 

6. How do you use my personal data?

Why do you need my information?

We only need your information, so we know where in the country the car is located, and the buyer can place a bid. We use your e-mail to send you the best offer, and we only use the telephone number if we have questions.

How to use in my information?

We only send you emails regarding the sale of your car, and the information about you (Name, address, e-mail, etc.) is used solely to process the case. We NEVER pass on your information to 3. part  and we NEVER use your information to send marketing, advertisements etc. You can see more about our privacy policy here: GDPR

7. Do I have withdrawal rights?

Yes, you can undo the deal. Should you unexpectedly not wish to make use of the offer after you have accepted it, scrap4more.co.uk reserves the right to invoice £20 including VAT as a handling fee. We do this to cover the costs and the time to spend canceling the deal with the buyer (breaker and car dealer).

How to get my road tax refund?

When you have decided to scrap your car, you will have the possibility to get your unused road tax refunded.
